How do I activate my eSIM?
After purchase, you'll receive a QR code by email. On your iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Use QR Code. On Android: Settings → Network → SIM → Add eSIM. Scan the code, follow the prompts, and you're connected.
Which devices are compatible with SimVago eSIM?
eSIM is supported on iPhone XS and later, Google Pixel 3 and later, Samsung Galaxy S20 and later, and most flagship Android devices from 2020 onwards. You can check your specific device on our compatibility page.
Can I keep my existing number while using a SimVago eSIM?
Yes. Most eSIM-capable phones support dual SIM (physical + eSIM simultaneously). Your existing number stays active for calls and texts while the SimVago eSIM handles your data — no forwarding or voicemail setup needed.
When should I activate my eSIM?
You can activate your eSIM any time after purchase. We recommend activating before you travel so you can verify it's working. Once activated, the validity period starts when you first connect to a network in the destination country.
What happens when I run out of data?
You'll receive a notification when you reach 80% and 100% of your data. You can top up directly through the SimVago app or website. Your connection pauses until you top up — no surprise overage charges.
Does SimVago eSIM support calls and SMS?
SimVago plans are data-only. For voice calls, use apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime, or Zoom over your SimVago data. Your home SIM handles any calls and texts to your regular number if you're using dual SIM.
Can I use the same eSIM for multiple trips?
Regional and global plans work across multiple countries during the validity period. Country-specific plans work only in the designated country. Once a plan expires, you purchase a new one for your next trip.
What is your refund policy?
Unused eSIMs can be refunded within 30 days of purchase, provided the QR code has not been scanned. Once activated, plans are non-refundable. If you experience a technical issue, contact support within 24 hours.
